Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. I upgraded to win 10 on s. I can get to the login window then it goes blank. After many phone calls and trying several things, I was finally told by Micosoft that my computer is not compatible and I need to send it back to Dell to reload windows 7. Pffft, all files I assume will be lost, not to mention the hassle. Might as well buy a new one. I am screwed. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another.

Upto now I have been so impressed with Dell but now I have many reservations. Friends with older versions have upgraded so why not the I have always used and recommended dell machines both at home and work, not so sure now though. Other things that anyone tempted to try the update on a should be aware of are that Dell website does not work with the Edge browser so no driver downloads or diagnostic tools.
In addition the option to return the machine to windows seven although it works ok, all back up and restore points including the factory installed recovery partition are wiped totally. The main issue now is that the only way is a total restore using the back up recovery disc assuming you have one or keep trying with windows Not sure who is worst Microsoft or Dell!!!!!!

Windows 10 November 2021 Update.Windows 10 from dell website
I went to the dell Site and the Driver offered was the same one installed in my Desktop. I then went to the Intel site, installed the Scan for updated Drivers software and it found there was an Updated Graphic driver available.
I tried to Install the Updated driver and got the message in so many words, I must get my Drivers from Dell. We all know that Dell has designed their hardware for the most part with exclusivity as to Drivers I sent an email to dell outing my Issue and that the Driver available at Dell is an older out of date Driver.
I realize my Desktop is Out of Warranty, but was not pleased when the response was, too bad your Desktop is no longer in Warranty and we won’t assist you. My issue is if Dell is going to sell PC’s where Dell is the exclusive provider of Updated Drivers, and, Dell does not keep the Driver Download dell site current with current Drivers than how does a dell owner Update their drivers? If Dell has designed their PC’s to be exclusive as to Drivers, than Dell has taken on the responsibility to Keep the available Drivers current at the Dell Drivers download site.
This is not a Warranty issue, it is an issue of responsibility Or, is it now Dell’s way to say to customers, we will force you so to speak to buy newer PC’s if you are having an issue where you need the current Driver Dell should NOT lock users out via their Driver designs to be unable to download and install Drivers from the Manufacturer. The Graphic driver at the dell Website is very outdated.
I can not Roll back the Update, it been longer than 10 days. I do not want to preform New Win10 Install Go to Solution. I too am a user. View solution in original post. There’s a good reason why you can’t install Intel drivers for integrated hardware. If you had a separate video card in your desktop–which you don’t if HD Intel is the only hardware listed–you could download drivers from Intel, Nvidia or AMD.
But integrated video is on the motherboard and is customized by Dell or any computer maker for their own boards and chip sets. Intel drivers from Intel would not work.
You should say what computer you have. Is it an approved model for Windows 10? If it is, maybe try updating the driver in Device Manager. It should say you already have the correct one. Or reinstall the same driver that you get from Dell. Go to Windows Update and see if there are any updates. There have been 3 or 4 updates for each correcting problems that have been reported. If you have a desktop tower and not an all in one, buy a new video card for windows 10 that can run on your hardware and power supply.
If you have an all in one computer, the motherboard is the same as a laptop and doesn’t support a separate card. Intel gfx within your CPU is directly installed and combined to your CPU only and you can’t change it so you should go for the driver provided from Dell support even if the scan shows there is a new one available, or if you want to, just download that one from Dell support to be sure and ignore it if it shows an update after that because Intel gfx don’t need updating, unlike dedicated gfx which should be especially after some mad windows update.

Hi JOYW Honestly, that error you are getting when you try to install that driver does not make sense, because you don’t have a network switch, Dell support or a Dell forum would be your best source of a fix, because someone else must have seen that same deol caused by that websit installer.
